I Forgot to Tell You

For some reason, I have four pairs of glasses.

My first pair. Found them for $10 from a guy on ebay who put in my prescription in for only $20 more. I can't bring myself to invest in glasses. This is not exactly a good thing.

Round-eye tortoise shells from Donna Karan. Dug them out of the lost and found at Fred Segal, waited a month or so, then had my prescription put in WITH TOTAL IMPUNITY. If these are yours, give me a call and make me an offer I can't refuse!

Also bought these on ebay for a few bucks. I got tired of having "crazy" glasses and wanted something a bit more subdued. Oddly enough, I feel the most self conscious when I wear these. 

Jackpot.I found these in my grandma's house. They belonged to my grandpa - my grandma thought I just wanted them as a keepsake, but she was so happy when she saw me in them for the first time. I don't know if he had a opinion about them one way or the other - they're government-issue welfare-ass glasses he wore to work 7 days a week at his mechanic shop,  a little reminder of where I come from. I wear these the most and I think they go with everything.

I still have several other pairs on deck that I'm waiting to get filled. I used to hassle my mom for picking up furniture off the street, yet fate has given me a propensity to pick up EYEGLASSES, that go on your EYES off the sidewalk. Where'd you get your glasses from, eh?

I was in the Bay Area over the weekend, registering for classes at Berkeley. Super excited to finally finish getting my degree but holy crap I'm going to miss Los Angeles so much. I wore my LPC pretty much the entire weekend and received tons of compliments.
